As we all know the people do not like changes at their workplace, unless it is the change of their salary (increase) or promotion. We just do not like to change our behavior. This is why we are reluctant to any new procedures, especially those prepared by the team of consultants designing process flows without any our involvement.  One of the ABC of ICT card illustrates such a situation. Have a look at it and please help creating the list of all the fail factors related to the illustration. Just to mention few of them:

1. Employees' reluctance to change

2. The way the procedures are being designed (no consultancy with employees)

3. The way the procedures are being implemented (e.g. no training of the new way of working)

4. Lack of management commitment

What are the other fail factors and how to overcome each of them? Please share your knowledge and take part in the LinkedIn discussion:

How not to make a mistake and implement the new procedures so there are clear effects on the daily operations? What are the resistances and how to overcome them?

According to the KPMG report titled 'Software Asset Management-Mitigating Risk and Realizing Opportunities', "It will not be long, in fact, before companies with limited SAM capabilities will become the exception.” Organizations are becoming more and more aware of the importance of SAM because of rising software licensing and maintenance costs. The risks related with software licensing as well as the potential benefits are moving SAM toward "must have" business practice.

IAITAM has released its new product called ITAM 360. This is an interactive version of IBPL that was published a few years ago. The first look at it could have been taken on the last IAITAM conference in Las Vegas.

The core of ITAM 360 is its knowledgebase. The user may access the information gathered in IBPL through a mindmap-like interface. The nodes represent units of knowledge like process or role descriptions. The descriptions are available when a node is clicked. Also when the node is selected, the graphical interface changes and all nodes related to it are shown. For a process, the user can see all processes it depends on and that depend on it, as well as the roles that are related to the specified process.
